To compliment our range of roof tiles, William Blyth offers the Heritage Service, using our expertise and knowledge to fulfill an active role in the production of authentic, bespoke handmade roof tiles and fittings for those looking for replacement product, or to add special touches to new builds.
Throughout the 19th and 20th Century, builders often placed great emphasis on detail to buildings, with the use of ornate ridge tiles, decorative finials and hip tiles. This helped to add character to their work.
Today there is a growing demand for traditional and bespoke products to be produced. With this in mind we have our own team of master craftsmen who are able to design original pieces as well as reproduce any form of clay ware.
The Heritage Service has undertaken a diverse range of projects, from the reproduction of Roman Bricks for the Mithras Temple, Walbrook street, to the manufacturing of ornate ridge tiles and finials for a grade 2 listed building in Dublin.
William Blyth Heritage Service provides a specialist design and manufacturing programme, which concentrates on the detail and design process to make sure that the best match can be made to the original pieces. Using our highly skilled craftsmen and traditional materials, ensures the finished product will meet the highest standards and will weather down to a mature appearance to help blend in with surrounding buildings.
